B3 Product Filters Article
Configure the Filter Panel
Choose filter sources, controls, order, apply behavior, mobile presentation, counts, and result feedback.
The filter panel can derive a useful catalog-aware default or follow an explicit saved group list. Configure the sources first, then tune apply behavior and presentation around the way shoppers browse your catalog.

Automatic or custom groups
Understand when the plugin derives a default set and when it respects an intentionally empty panel.
With no saved filter groups, B3 Product Filters derives a sensible set from the current WooCommerce catalog. As soon as you add groups, that stored list becomes authoritative: its order, labels, controls, and enabled state drive the panel.
- 1Use `Add filter` to choose a catalog source, such as an attribute, category, price, stock, rating, or sort control.
- 2Set its label, control type, relation, and option-count behavior.
- 3Drag the group into the order shoppers should encounter it, then save the settings.
Behavior and mobile panel
Choose how changes apply and how the panel behaves on small screens.
- Instant
- Each selection immediately requests a new result set. This is the default apply mode.
- Apply button
- Shoppers can make several selections before committing the filter request.
- Off-canvas drawer
- The default mobile mode opens the filters in a focus-managed drawer.
- Modal or inline
- Use a modal for a centered overlay or inline when the panel should stay in the page flow on small screens.
The same Behavior area controls active chips, the live result count, per-option counts, shareable URLs, scrolling to results, and the default product order.
Counts, results, and large catalogs
Keep the feedback useful and know which controls expose counts.
Per-option counts are available for attributes, taxonomies, stock, and rating groups. Price, on-sale, search, and sort controls do not expose option counts. Counts are hydrated on the first render and refresh after AJAX changes.
