B3 Swatches Article
Advanced
Set out-of-stock handling, enable dual-color support, and decide whether plugin data is removed on uninstall.
The Advanced tab holds the feature gates and cleanup choices that affect the rest of the plugin. These settings are simple, but they change how swatches render across the storefront and what happens if the plugin is later removed.

Out-of-stock handling
Choose whether unavailable swatches blur, cross out, or disappear.
The advanced tab owns the global out-of-stock treatment. Use Blur/Fade
when you want unavailable options to remain visible, Cross Out when the
store should be more explicit, and Hide only when removing the option is
less confusing than showing it disabled.
Dual-color support
Turn on the second-color system before you configure two-tone terms or overrides.
Dual Color Support is the feature gate for two-tone swatches. Once it is
on, attribute terms and product overrides can use a secondary color, and the
chip renderer can apply the cut and gradient settings described in Variation
Chips.
Cleanup choice
Treat uninstall cleanup as a deliberate maintenance decision, not a casual default.
Remove on Uninstall controls whether B3 Swatches deletes its saved data if
the plugin is removed. That includes settings and swatch-related metadata,
so treat it as an operational decision rather than a styling preference.
- Keep data
- Safer if the plugin may be reinstalled or you may need to reference the current configuration later.
- Remove data
- Use this only when the plugin is truly being retired and you want WordPress cleaned up afterward.
