What you can find
Search navigation, content, people, media, and actions that the current user may access.
The palette combines an immediately available admin-navigation index with on-demand search for larger sets of WordPress records. Results are checked against the current user's WordPress capabilities before they are sent to the browser.
- Admin destinations
- Menus, submenu pages, settings screens, plugin settings, themes, and other registered admin pages.
- Site records
- Posts, pages, custom post types, users, media, and taxonomy terms searched on demand.
- Common actions
- Create content, search the site, edit your profile, toggle screen help, switch sites where available, or log out.
Next steps
Learn the search shortcuts, then adjust only the settings that improve your workflow.
Start with the default behavior before changing the hotkey or search sources. The palette is designed to be useful immediately, and its prefix modes and keyboard actions cover most navigation without extra setup.
